Financial services

Know who is at the counter, not just what they are holding.

Nigerian financial services already run on a strong identity infrastructure — BVN (Bank Verification Number), NIN (National Identification Number) — but the infrastructure only helps at the moment it is actually checked, against the actual person. Biolog is the layer that performs that check at onboarding, at the counter, and in the agent network where oversight is thinnest.

Applications

Customer onboarding

Biometric capture at account opening, deduplicated against the existing customer base, supporting KYC (Know Your Customer) obligations with a record of who was verified, by whom, where and when.

Counter verification

High-value or high-risk transactions verified biometrically rather than by signature comparison.

Agent network integrity

Agents enrolled and verified at the point of transaction, so the agent code and the human being using it are the same person.

Staff access and dual control

Vault, cash office and server room access on biometric authorisation, with dual-control rules where policy requires two named people.

Existing relationship

BTS’s payments product, A1Pay, already operates in this sector, and Ecobank is an existing BTS client.

On national identity infrastructure. Where a deployment requires direct verification against BVN, NIN or any NIMC or NIBSS service, that integration is scoped, contracted and confirmed as part of discovery. We will tell you plainly what is live, what needs building, and what sits outside our control — before it appears in a proposal.
